Yes. The grub preventative application is guaranteed. If you receive this application and have any damage as a result of a grub infestation, the damage is repaired free of charge.
What type of fertilizer do I use?
I use a combination of a slow-release granular fertilizer and a liquid weed control. The liquid weed control is applied only to the weeds. The weeds are controlled within 1-3 days.
Is the person applying fertilizer and weed control to my lawn certified?
Yes. Bill Henderson applies all applications and is certified by the PA Department of Agriculture.
Is the company fully insured?
Yes. Henderson Fertilizing is fully insured.
Where is Henderson Fertilizing located?
Henderson Fertilizing is located in Springfield, PA which is located within Delaware County.
How many years experience does the applicator have?
Bill Henderson has 16 years experience in this field.
What type of grass seed do you recommend for this area?
The best seed for this area is turf-type tall fescue. This seed is most tolerable to disease, drought and insects.
What height should my grass be cut?
Most grass should be cut at 3 - 3 1/2 inches tall. You should never cut more than 1/3 of the grass blade off! This could damage your lawn.
Is it ok to have thatch? If so, how much is ok?
A small amount of thatch can actually protect your lawn during the hot summer months. It is recommended that you should not have more than 1/2 inch of thatch. More than 1/2 inch of thatch is unhealthy and can be a breeding ground for harmful pests and disease. To decrease thatch, core aeration is highly recommended!
